New bloggers everywhere, especially those looking to make blogging their full-time job, are struggling to bring more traffic to their site.
I’d like more traffic too.
With that in mind, I have compiled this list of the Top 7 Topics to Get Your Blog Noticed:
1) Ron Paul a.k.a. “Dr. No”. The Republican/Libertarian candidate for President of the United States is hot, hot, hot in the blogosphere right now.
2) YouTube. Bloggers like to use and share YouTube videos, so it too is a hot topic.
3) Google. People love to hate Google. People love to love Google. People want to learn how to get in the top of Google’s results. People Google Google. ’nuff said.
4) Paris Hilton. Will she ever go away? Not if people keep writing about her. And reading about her. And reading and writing about why people continue to read and write about her.
5) The Apple iPhone. Not as hot as it was a couple weeks ago, but still hot.
6) Say it in Spanish. English is still fairly dominant on the Internet. If you can blog in Spanish too, you can expand your reach to the underserved Spanish-reading market.
7) dcrBlogs.com. Your readers will be forever grateful that you steered them to such a fantastic and amazing blog. They’ll admire your great taste, and be loyal to you until the end.

This post should get you a few search engine hits. Although maybe you should change number 4 to “Naked Pics of Paris Hilton” or “Exclusive Pics of Paris in Jail”.
I think your comments ought to cover that for me. But, maybe I should throw in “Paris Hilton video” for good measure. Or, “leaked Paris Hilton jail shower video.” “Paris Hilton Gone Wild!” Or, “Perez Hilton interviews Paris Hilton.” There, double-whammy.
