Reader Feeder Backer

Yeah, the title makes little sense, but it is 2:47 a.m. as I start this post…

I am looking for some reader feedback here. So, if you are reading this, that means you!

Nearly a week ago, I posted on “WordPress Plugins and When NOT to Use Them,” which included links to a variety of plugins available for WordPress.

My question to you, dear reader, is what plugins would you like to see me using on this blog, besides those I already have?

You see, back in June and July, I started a number of blogs. I set up one with one theme and a second with another theme. Then, came blogs three, four, five and this one. I used theme #2 for all these. And, I liked it so much, I went back and changed the first blog to the same theme.

After setting up the second blog, I had a basic “template” installation I could use to launch new blogs. Just upload, activate, done! Simple.

But, as I added plugins, now I would need to go back to every blog and install that plugin. Gets hard to keep track of after a while.

Now, I feel that this blog has reached a level of maturity whereby this can be my new template site.

I have another blog I have been excited about launching, but have been putting off until I reach a “stable” WordPress template. So, before I go assuming this one is mature enough, I thought I would ask opinions of my readers.

Then, depending upon your feedback, I can install any new plugins, and finalize my template install. Then, I can start the new blog. Woohoo!

Next, I have been working on an eBook, which I have mentioned in an earlier post. Based on my “Brain Power” postings here and the mind training ad page, what would you think is a good price for the eBook? I have it tentatively set at $39.95, but I would welcome your feedback.

I don’t know about plugins but you could really use some ads. Like Kontera, google adsense, auction ads

I don’t get enough traffic (yet) for Kontera and, besides that, it is annoying. I read other sites with Kontera and I frequently see its underlined words in places that upset the flow of text. I mean, instead of underlining “blogger” in this sentence, it may be off a bit and end up blogger where it makes no sense. Like that, see?

Is it just me? I notice that happening on a number of sites with Kontera.

As for AdSense, I don’t know about using that on a blog. I may give Google Search a try.

I am also looking at Auction Ads, though I am unsure what kind of auctions would match most of my posts! ;-)

39.95 seems pretty fair. I like your ad page. And I hadn’t read the full brain power series yet… to be honest, I’ve been battling to keep up on writing and all the small details. I haven’t had the honor to really delve into the sites of those couple of people I’ve connected with recently. Nice job!

Thanks! I have had the ad page up since last December, and only one inquiry so far. I am hoping that’s just because I haven’t promoted it since the eBook isn’t done yet!

It isn’t easy keeping up with everything you need to for managing a blog! Especially when you have stuff like a job. ;-)
