Three Degrees (Or Less) of Links
As you may have noticed, I have made a couple minor tweaks to the blog.
First, I edited the comments line that appears below each post so that it (hopefully!) encourages people to comment.
I got this idea from a post on Pro Blog Design entitled “Personalise Messages and Stand Out.” I found that post by way of Mike Goad’s post entitled, “Tweaking the Theme Some More.” And, I found out about Mike Goad’s blog via his comment on Michael Fultz’s blog post entitled, “Your readers are king!” That would be, I think, three degrees of separation.
Next, I added the “Popularity Contest” plugin by Alex King, who I found through Google. I did not find him through One Man’s post entitled, “How to Show Your Commenters You Care,” because that’s about Comment Relish, which is a completely different plugin. Instead, I searched Google, but I could have found it on Average Joe Blogger’s post, “My Ultimate List of WordPress Plugins,” which I linked to and blogged about only a week ago in my post entitled, “WordPress Plugins and When NOT to Use Them.”
Lesson 1 for the Day: Sometimes you can find interesting blogs and other tidbits by browsing the blogs of commentators on other blogs.
Lesson 2 for the Day: Sometimes you can find interesting tidbits just by reading your own posts. ![]()

Thanks for the link Dan! I had a look at your customisations, looks like you’ve done it well! (At any rate, I was certainly inclined to “be the first to comment!”)
Michael
