I am Rich!
According to my spam, I am now rich! Woohoo!
I am removing the Short Term Goal of a new computer and software from my sidebar. I’ll just get that out of my $300,000 when I earn that. 
Instead, I am going to replace that with my Money from Spam counter, where I will track how much “money” I have made thanks to spam.
I figure this may be more interesting than counting down to a new computer and software.
Today, I received in my spam, an offer from a law firm who will pay me $54,020.00 for referring a sufficient number of people to them in a year’s time. Good as gold, right? So, that goes into the count.
Also, I am pleased to announce that I have won the European Email ID Lottery with a prize of $1,000,000 Euros. According to a currency exchange calculator I used minutes ago, that is $1,346,196.84 dollars. Gotta love that exchange rate!
I am up to $1,400,216.84 just for reading my eMail. Cool, eh?
On top of that, I have been approved for a loan of $243,000.00.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
Simply put, I HATE SPAM…haha…doesnt it drive you nuts when you have to go through this junk every morning?
I usually get about 100 messages per day. Of those, a mere handful are real eMail. I can’t imagine what I’d have to go through if not for the spam filters!
In today’s spam update, I was offered a loan for $229,000. Also, I won the International Email Lottery not once, but twice! That’s two million Euros each! And, with today’s more favorable exchange rates, that’s $2,710,444.29 that I’ve “won” today.
Sad that my spam total is going up faster than the real one!
Nice! I have thought a lot about upgrading my computer and just can’t justify spending money on something that works well as a word processor. Yes, I’d like super liquid cooled machine… but I have greater concerns right now.
I need a newer computer for graphics work. I could upgrade the one I have, but doing so will only bring it up to the bare minimum requirements. I don’t even have enough RAM! I bought a new RAM chip a couple months ago that would have given me the minimum amount of RAM that I need, but then one of the RAM chips (naturally, one of the larger ones) went bad, so I still ended up with less RAM than I needed, despite buying the new RAM.
It’s just gotten to the point where it doesn’t make economic sense to put any more money into a machine that’s not upgradeable to the latest stuff, and only upgradeable to the point of meeting the minimum requirements for the applications I need to run. It’s better to set money aside to save up for a new one than to continue to put money into the current one.
Today, I “won” £1,000,000 in the UK National Lottery, which, at today’s exchange rates, is $2,005,092.56. I also “received” three loans in the amounts of $53,000.00, $48,000.00 and $24,000.00. Not bad for a day, eh?
I can’t say I’m as lucky as you. I received two free trips on voicemail the other day and what looks like a lifetime supply of free porn via my filtered comments by Akismet. Let me know how the law firm referrals go…
oh wait, I was offered my share of $30,000,000 from a Nigerian ex-dictator’s treasurer. I guess that puts me up about $10 million.
I haven’t been counting the free laptops I’ve been offered.
Haven’t received any letters from ex-dictators’ family members offering me a share of their fortune since I started keeping track on the blog here. But, I’ve received them multiple times in the past, so, like you, I would be a multi-millionaire by now.
On Friday, I “won” 1,000,000 Euros in a lottery, which worked out to be $1,363,800.64 at yesterday’s exchange rates. I also “received” only two loans in the amounts of $231,000 and $341,000. That brings me up to nearly $6.5 million in “winnings” and over $1 million in loans. Pretty good for one week.
On Saturday…
I was offered 30% of a $12 million for assisting the heirs of a victim of a British train crash in moving their money out of the country. One would think it would have been in pounds or Euros, but, no, it’s in U.S. dollars. So, my 30% would be $3.6 million.
Again, I won the lottery. This time the British Lottery International. I “won” £1,000,000.00 which is $2,009,908.85 at current exchange rates. I also “won” $1.5 million from the Lottery International. It’s great that these places have so much money to give away that you don’t even need to actually buy a ticket to win!
And, I also “received” a loan for $438,000.00.

Last Monday, all I “received” was a loan for $35,000.00.
On Tuesday, I hit the jackpot. In loans, I “received” $46,000.00, $39,000.00, $35,000.00, $58,000.00, $358,000.00, $57,000.00 and $48,000.00. I also received a “business proposal” offering me $21,500,000.00 to handle, evidently, as I saw fit. So eager was this person to work with me that I received the letter twice. But, I’m sure that was an error, so I am counting it just once. I also won a Euromillions lottery of 1,000,000.00, which I’m assuming would be in Euros. At today’s exchange rates, that’s $1,363,215.89.
On Wednesday, I “received” loans in the amount of $64,000.00, $32,000.00, $482,000.00, $84,000.00, $37,000.00 and $41,000.00. I “won” the Netherlands Lottery with a prize of $250,000.00 Euros, which is $340,803.97 at today’s exchange rates. I also “won” $1,500,000.00 in some other lottery.
Thursday was another big day. I “received” loans for $427,000.00, $68,000.00, $67,000.00, $52,000.00, $69,000.00, $46,000.00, $69,000.00, $374,000.00 and $420,000.00. In lotteries, I “won” £950,000 ($1,916,559.07), £1,000,000.00 ($2,017,430.60) and 1,000,000 Euros ($1,363,215.89).
Friday, I got jack-squat.
On Saturday, I “received” a loan of $437,000.00. I was also “willed” $10,000,000.00 by someone I don’t know but was sure I would do good things with the money. I “won” 1,000,000.00 Euros ($1,363,215.89) in another lottery. Also, some major computer component company was having a big promotion and I “won” 1,000,000.00 Euros ($1,363,215.89) in it.
In total, for ten days (apparently I missed one Sunday), I have “received” $5,052,000.00 in loans. This could have been higher. A number of these loans were for a specific amount plus the amount of my total debt. So, if I counted prior loans as debt and added them to the new loans, well, I’d have quite a lot more money in loans. But, I didn’t do that. I just counted the offered figure. In lottery “winnings” I have $56,317,120.38.
Pretty impressive figures. Too bad that none of it is real.
This will also be the end of my tabulations. It was fun and interesting these past few days. It’s intriguing to see the amount of money that is offered in all these different spam and scam messages. And, those are just from the messages that managed to sneak through my spam filters.
But, it also takes too much time to do this. I normally just delete spam, and with this I have had to look through each message to see the amount I was being offered or that I won. Again, interesting for a short time, but too big a time-waster to continue to do, especially since I don’t especially benefit in any way.
