So Long and Thanks for All the Soda
When I have the Buy Me a Beer (which I modified to Buy Me a Soda) plugin activated, this is how my “Write Post” page appears:

Notice how the Title and Post fields are scrunched into the sidebar. Makes writing a bit of a challenge, though I have become somewhat used to it. Proofreading is also a challenge, though I suppose it may help to be able only to read four or five words per line. Really makes you focus.
This seems to be an issue only with Safari, as it looks fine in Firefox. But, as Safari is still my primary browser, that’s a strike against the plugin.
I could put it in the sidebar, but I’d rather not clutter up my sidebar. I still have this vain hope that someday, sometime, TLA will actually sell some links for me so that the “Featured Sites” header won’t be blank. Plus, the plugin would still be activated, so my posting page would still be compressed.
On top of those layout issues, I really don’t need any more encouragement to drink more soda. I need to cut back and return to drinking tea on a regular basis. I was down to just drinking soda once or twice a week, and iced tea the rest of the time, and I should get back to that. Plus, winter will be approaching soon, and then it will be time for hot green tea again.
Sure, I could ask to be treated to a glass or cup of tea. But, I still get soda when eating out. At too many restaurants, I have gotten tea that tastes more like swamp water than tea. It’s hard to keep track of which restaurants have good tea, so it’s best to play it safe and order a Coke.
So, for those two reasons, it’s time to say farewell and so long to the plugin.
As we bid the plugin farewell, I’d like to close by thanking the Top Soda Contributors for the Month of August 2007:
Thank you!
Goodbye, BMaB plugin. We hardly knew ya. Sniff…

Green tea is so much better for you than soda. Why, I’m enjoying a frosty mug right now!
White tea is good too.
Oh you are welcome!
Off to get some Iced Tea in the kitchen myself shortly, but too true, it is much better for you, we mix our regular tea with green tea, every batch equal parts. We’re used to it and when people visit they always ask if it’s watered down, lol. Just healthier is all we say.
