BAA!

Since the Pirate King’s daughter shared one of her dreams a few days ago, I thought I would share the one I had last night, er, Sunday morning–whatever! A bonus point for Joanne if she can interpret it. (I’ve been trouncing her in the point battle lately, so she could use the extra point.*)

I was up late at night (yes, even in my dreams, I am up late) and I saw something in the backyard. I turned on the back porch light, which lit up the whole backyard as though it were daylight (like that one battery commercial where the kids have that flashlight that lights up, ahem, the whole backyard). It was a sheep. Kind of a grayish color, maybe dirty white or maybe he’s just a gray sheep.

Mind you, this isn’t farmland (anymore), so seeing sheep in the backyard is something that almost never happens. Okay, it never ever happens. Unicorns are a different matter, but that’s a story for another day.

So, the sheep is a little frightened and wants to run away. But, I say “BAA!” and it comes back. Everytime it starts to go, I say “BAA!” and it comes back.

This being a rare occurrence, I want to get a picture. So, I tell the sheep to wait (like he’s going to listen) then run to go get my camera.

Back with the camera, I have to say “BAA!” to get the sheep to come back. As he gets close to the door, I can see that he’s injured. He has (what appears to be) a bullet wound. Well, it was more like an open ulcer and there was no exit wound, but in the dream, I “knew” it was a bullet wound. But, he appeared to be doing okay.

And, that was pretty much the end of the dream.

Anyway, today, I got to thinking that, since Joanne had found it quote-worthy, I ought to do more with BAA! Thus, you see the revised header on my blog (unless you’ve got it cached, in which case, you still see the old one).

And then things get weirder.

After dinner, what was outside in the backyard? A sheep! No, I am kidding. But, there was a stray cat. A black and GRAY cat. He wanted to run away, but I’d say “Here kitty, kitty” and he’d stop. He’d run away again, and I’d say “Here kitty, kitty” and he’d stop. I went to get him some food, but then the dog barked at him and he took off. No signs of bullet wounds on the cat though.

Still, what are the odds?

Believe. Act. Achieve.

Tonight, thanks to Debo Hobo, I found out that I was a Hot Member on MyBlogLog today. Evidently, Hot Members are selected on the basis of stats plus people tagging them as Hot Members. That was unexpected. Thanks to everyone who tagged me, though I don’t know how you tag someone as a Hot Member–I haven’t seen an option for it anywhere. It’s a great honor, but I don’t know if I’ll put it on my resume. ;-)

Oh, and don’t forget about my “Quotes from Love Songs” post. Identify one of the remaining songs correctly and you’ll get a linkback! JD and Joanne are the only current linkback recipients. Still 8 songs to go!

Believe. Act. Achieve.

Oh, and why am I blogging when I should be working on my eCommerce site? Because I’ve run into a design conundrum, that’s why! Argh!

*Actually, I think we’re tied.

Hm. Interpretive reading, eh? This is going to sound more like a tarot card reading, but I’ll do my best…

I’d say the sheep symbolizes your main focus currently. Completion/achievement seems elusive (hence, you have to keep Believe-Act-Achieve-ing at it to be able to keep it within eyesight). It seems at times rather tedious to constantly keep BAA’ing at it. Finally, when all is within sight, literally picture perfect, you see a (bullet) hole. Only you realize the problem is not as serious as perceived to be…

3 Lessons:
(1) Everything’s actually doing just fine, at least for the moment. Some things can’t be rushed.
(2) The problem could be internal bleeding, which could lead to unexpected death if not given proper attention (aka too much procrastination).
(3)…or you could’ve just been hallucinating from too many late nights. =)

You’re good. You know, I have hit a snag with the rebuild of my eCommerce site. The snag is three pixels that won’t behave. Three pixels!

That’s another point for you.

Last night, I dreamt of coloring Easter Eggs. Actually, I only colored one egg, the rest I left white. I think that may have something to do with the fact that I created a little Easter Egg on this blog, and am waiting to see if anyone finds or notices it.

You. Educate me. It feeds my curiosity. I’ve never heard of easter eggs like that before, SO cool! Some other really educational posts in the archive sidetracked my hunt for a good long while…what happens if one starts to feel in awe of all the knowledge in her sparring partner?! =P

I’ll offer just one clue on the Easter Egg: good things come to those who wait.

…what happens if one starts to feel in awe of all the knowledge in her sparring partner?!

I can’t decide on my response. So, pick one:

A. I don’t know, but I think maybe I ought to get a point for it.

B. Perhaps one is easily impressed? ;-) But, what happens if the reverse is true as well?

C. You’d be even more in awe of all the things I have forgotten.

D. Take that, Jon Stewart!
