Personal Blogging Milestones

At last, I have beaten Doug in Technorati. Doug has been blogging longer than I have, and I’ve passed him! He currently stands at 91 and I am currently at 92.

Just a month ago, he was at 90, and I was at some painfully low number.

Of course, now that I’ve linked to Doug in this post, I’ll probably push him up to 92 and we’ll be tied.

I have also surpassed ChrisBlogging.com, who broke 100k when I had only recently broken 200k.

Not that any of this is a competition. These are just personal milestones that I had. Doug had 90 ever since I started watching Technorati ratings. I was curious as to how long it would be before I ever hit 90. And, then I started moving up, and Doug remained stagnant, so I wondered if maybe I might be able to overtake him.

Similarly with Chris. When he broke 100k, that seemed so far away for me. Even in this past week, it seemed to be dragging. But later in the week, it popped ahead.

I remember when I rebranded my blog, I was worried when I would build my Technorati rank back up to 4! It took me so long to get that 4, that I was concerned. But, one day later, dcrBlogs.com hit 5!

Now, the challenge is to stay ahead of Joanne, who keeps gaining ground.

Thanks.

By the way, check the URI field when you leave a comment here. Your comments keep showing up with a double .com in your URL, which then means that anyone that clicks on your link gets taken to another site.

I fix it when I notice it, but still you need to look into that, especially if that’s automatically (by your browser) being entered into the URI field, which means you may be posting it wrong on other blogs as well.
