Thanksgiving Day Blog Roundup

Mixing pilgrims with cowboys gives you a Thanksgiving day roundup. So, what were bloggers up to today?

1. Rolando went all out and changed his blog theme. Or, maybe he did it yesterday, but it didn’t look like that on Tuesday!

2. Doug waxes so anti-poetic on drawing the short end of the wishbone.

3. John Chow bashes Apple, but likes their ads. No link for him!
http://www.johnchow.com/apple-may-suck-but-they-have-cool-ads/

4. Brent tells us the five technological wonders for which he’s thankful.

5. Chris works.

6. Nina takes the day off from book-signing to share some of the history of Thanksgiving.

7. Ed pities the “foo” that doesn’t play WoW. No word on what he thinks of the bar.

8. Jeanne offers a list of blessings for which modern day writers should be thankful.

9. Deborah shows you how to spend the day with your favorite celebrities–no travel arrangements required–they come to you!

10. Ann has a rockin’ good time.

11. Terence recommends some books to make you richer, which will also make you thankful if things work out for you.

12. Joanne has taken a sabbatical.

13. Pete photographs the last bloom of the year.

And, there is our Thanksgiving Day Blog Roundup.

Hey DCR, little that you know that I change my theme almost weekly, haha. I’m in search of the perfect theme if there is such a thing, lol

Good night! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Rolando

You must have been slacking then, because I’m pretty sure I saw that last theme for at least two weeks, if not longer.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving too!

Dan:

Thank you for your giving! I had too much turkey … Just got up and read your blog!

Hey.. I just realize that you are an ad up on your blog. “Ad by p-s As”

What is that? Want to be the next John Chow? ;-)

Have a great holiday!

The good thing about having too much turkey is that it decreases the number of days you’ll be eating turkey leftovers!

“p-s Ads” is my own ad script. I’ve had that on for a while, but it only shows up on individual page views and not if you read the page from the main blog page. Well, it’s not so much as script as it is hard-coded at the moment, as I couldn’t get the script to work. Haven’t yet figured out how to use my own PHP code within WordPress. Haven’t had time to investigate it further, as I’ve been working on the eCommerce site.

I think I would be happy if my blog made in a year what John Chow makes in a month!

I am glad you found my post of interest. I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Also, it was nice to see you didn’t give John Chow a link. With all the folks out there myself included that link to him, you would think he would find a way to reciprocate and link back. I find he definietly speaks out of both sides of his mouth. We natives americans call that ‘forked tongued’.

I haven’t forgotten about your eMail… I spent tonight answering a few questions in it. Still have to think of some “wisdom” for you…
