What Do My Readers Like?

Yes, that means you.

Aside from my viral stories, which people are apt to read since may bloggers check out sites that link to them, I’ve been looking through my stats trying to determine what my readers like to read. Again, that means you.

Apparently, you like to read my shared links. Some people even link to them. Okay, one person, but no reason he can’t be starting a trend here, right? Hint, hint, hint.

Apparently also, you like to read my lists of Weird Stuff You Can Win on Ebay, even though I’ve only done one so far.

My first actual Thursday Thirteen was reasonably popular as well. But, this still falls in the category of links, so I’m not sure it’s the Thursday Thirteen part as it is the links.

If I give you tips to save money, you really don’t care. (In fact, you would rather that I run for President than give you money-saving tips.) Oddly, however, if I talk about my goal, you’re really into that and reads shoot upward. Disturbingly, you would rather read about Jessica Simpson stripping naked than money saving tips from me!

If I talk about my secret project, even giving few details, well, you like that too. If I talk about weird or esoteric subjects, such as cosmology or prophecy, you like that too. But, you don’t like it as much when I combine the two subjects.

You also like brain power posts, such as the one on focus. Or was it just because I mentioned Princess Leia in the slave bikini outfit? It appears you’re into both focus (and/or the slave bikini outfit) and pi, because those are the two most popular brain power posts!

You also like my photos, such as this one of the moon, but you like nothing better (excepting viral stories) than posts on blogging! (Actually, business, brain power, Internet and fantasy beat out blogging, but blogging is the more popular in terms of overall individual posts.)

Then again, reflection (with just three posts) bests all the other categories, including viral stories.

So, you think I’m weird?

I just write the stuff. You are the one reading it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is a good idea to review what post are more popular. I am wondering what’s the average time your readers stay on you blog reading your post.

Have you analyze that how many percentage of your readers left your blog in less than 2 minutes?

If you are weird, than I am probably ever weird. I read your blog every time you post new stuff. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I really hope to see your new secret project update.

I’m going to link to some links that link to some other links (and so on) and see how far it can go before the internet explodes. Thanks for the idea.

That sounds like the kind of thing that could certainly break the Internet! Be careful.

  4. Dan,

Interesting post–and it gave me the opportunity to go back and read some fascinating older posts that I’d never seen before! It’s always intriguing to learn what’s actually most popular among our readers, because, often, it isn’t the topics or the specific posts we expect! Thanks for the recap!
