“Spore”

I don’t buy a lot of video or computer games. In fact, I cannot remember the last time I bought one. I don’t think I’ve bought one in this century! (Unless you count the little joystick game system that has some of the old arcade games on it. I guess that means I haven’t bought a new game in this century!)

But, “Spore” is a game that may change that, especially since, reportedly, it will also be released for the Mac.

I first learned about “Spore” courtesy of Doug, who has been looking forward to it for a long time. It’s number 13 on his list, and you’ll see two video links where you can learn more.

It looks like fun, and something more challenging and interesting than the typical “shoot everything that moves” game. Hopefully, it will finally be released this year, and not be too expensive.

this is proof that there are still some people out there who want to change the way we think and play games. will wright is one of the best designers in the industry. It will be fun to see all the things people create once they get their hands on the game.

Best of all (aside from the fact it simply LOOKS COOL!!!) it’s like three or four games in one. Good news about the Mac release . . . wouldn’t want those Appleheads left out, would we? :)
