I’m a Loser, So You’re Not Getting a New Theme
Chris Bloczynski dot Com had a “Linkin’ It Up” Contest, where the winner got a blog theme and some web development service.
In my entry, I mentioned that if I won, I may re-gift it. So, some lucky reader here would have a new theme, plus some help if needed.
Well, today, Chris announced the winner: Robert A Henru of Reason4Smile.com.
That’s not me.
So, I’m a loser, and I’m taking you down with me, because now you won’t get a chance to win the theme and web development service. You can join me in walking around with a big “L” on your forehead.
Now, we should all head on over to Reason4Smile.com, because now we all need a reason to smile. Sigh.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the link, I hope your readers are not blaming me for losing =).
First time visit in your blog, from your about page, seems that you’re an interesting person.
I like this quote that you shared there.
“When you compete with a person, you only have to be as good or better than the person to win. If you compete with yourself, there is no limitation on how good you can be.”
–Chin-Ning Chu, in Guy Kawasaki’s How to Drive Your Competition Crazy
Wish you all the best.
Hope you also find some reasons for smile today =)
Robert
My legions of loyal followers (which is just my dog, but only if I have a treat in my hand) will hunt you down and force you to frown.
Thanks for stopping by. I like your blog, and I’ll add it to my lists next time I update.
That’s funny Dan. I was thinking of having the reverse contest - to have a contest where someone finds me a theme. The winner would be chosen by the readers, then I would implement the theme and give the winner a t-shirt from my truck club gift shop. Knowing me I’d change the theme before the contest ended, lol. I just changed my theme on rplayground yesterday as an example, lol. But I think that one I will keep for awhile. I like it too much.
Sorry you didn’t win and that you couldn’t re-gift it to someone else
Better luck next time.
What we need is to find you a WordPress plugin that automatically changes the theme every other day. That way, it’ll save you some time and you’ll never get bored with your theme again.
We should convince the Wordpress people to give Rolando author access to the WP Theme Viewer. Then his blog will get incredible readership, plus he can change the theme at a moments notice. Rolando, you know you want to…
Dan, you won the award for the most creative and thoughtful entry. If I could have done the drawing based on editorial judgment instead of random chance, you would have taken the prize for sure. I hope we can still be friends.
I don’t know. I just don’t know. I can’t even look at you right now.
LOL!
By the way, how many entrants did you have? Just curious whether you got your money’s worth for links.
I’ll email and tell you about it.
Dan- thank God we didn’t have to work with you- you are a nut, not a loser. Anyway I couldn’t bear to have my husband swap out your theme, I pretend I have a real online boyfriend to make him jealous- when I am actually just flirting with your header.
Should I be concerned about my header getting beaten up?
It’s the wink, Dan. It drives women crazy.
Yes, and then they run away screaming.
Holy crap, I just noticed the Scarlet Letter on your head! Great touch, just brilliant.
Yay! Someone noticed! Now I can change it back!
I completely noticed… first thing I saw. It was hilarious!
