Bloczynski, Pronounce It!

It’s a tough call, but this may be the most unusual search term anyone has used to find my blog: “bloczynski pronounce.”

I’m guessing–and it’s probably a very good guess–that it has something to do with Chris Bloczynski.

So, Chris, if you get a phone call from someone you’ve never spoken to before, I’m guessing maybe they searched the Internet to find out how to pronounce your name.

Mind you, there is an important lesson here, with regard to search engine positioning…

Word Order Matters!

If you search for “bloczynski pronounce” in Google, without Joe’s famous quotes, my blog (that is, this blog) is the number one search result. Peter Sanchez dot Com is number two and Joanne’s old blog is number ten.

Okay, Never Mind!

Okay, now this is very weird. The first time I searched for “bloczynski pronounce” and “pronounce bloczynski” I had two different search results. For “bloczynski pronounce,” I got the results described above. For “pronounce bloczynski,” Peter Sanchez dot Com was the top result and I was not even in the top ten. I don’t remember if Joanne was on the first page or not either.

But, on every subsequent search (even changing browsers in case their was a cache issue), I get the same result for both search parameters. Very strange.

Maybe Google had a hiccup the first time around.

New Lesson: No Lesson!

So, apparently, there is no lesson to be learned here. Probably. Maybe word order matters, maybe not. Google just likes to mess around with our minds, I think.

It always blows my mind when people spell it correctly in a search engine…. believe it or not, since I’ve started blogging, I get more and more referrals from Google searches for my name. I can only assume that they must be from ex-girlfriends who are wondering if I’ve gotten rich or famous since they broke up with me (which, let’s just say I have, in case any of them find this article by searching for me.)

Incidentally, the correct pronunciation is (blo-zin-skee), just in case you get more search traffic on the subject. Now Google can regard you as a credible search result, since people will find the answer to that particular question by visiting your site.

Thanks, now I am the definitive source for how to pronounce Bloczynski.

And, to help you out, I’ll refer to you as the rich and famous Chris Bloczynski. ;-)

Your own blog doesn’t turn up in the search results on Google at all. I guess you’ve never used the word “pronounce” in any of your posts. Wait. You did once. I checked.

I think I used the word “unpronoucable”. I may not have even spelled it right.

Dan:

Who said that there is no lesson to lean?

I just learned that Chris is a talented internet marketer. Isn’t he?

Maybe he can give me some helping hands to my online stores. :-)

I’m alright, I suppose. Thanks for saying it, at least!
