I know exactly how John Chow got where he is, and could probably do the same thing; however, I just cannot bring myself to do it. I should say, I cannot lower my standards to earn money. He did anything and everything for links and traffic, using heartless, cutthroat tactics. His goal is to destroy his competition while elevating himself. He also shows what a greedy, money hoarding miser he is in everything he does. In business, nice guys finish last. Actually, nice guys are buried under the bottom of the rubble. That is how money is made, although it is a sad reality. That's why I don't worry about it. The advice of the "experts" is really meant to keep people down, not to teach them how to be successful. Once a blog is making big money, it can basically run on autopilot, much like Chow's is now...that's why I NEVER read it.
