Saving Money with Affiliate Marketing

If you’ve done any affiliate marketing, you know that sometimes you choose certain companies because you’ve actually purchased from them, liked their products and thought they would be a good fit for your website.

So, you sign up for their affiliate program.

And they reject you.

Or, they accept you and kick you out later because you haven’t referred enough customers, they no longer like your website or whatever.

On the one hand, that’s bad.

On the other hand, you can save yourself some money by never buying from them again.

Maybe I’m just a little vindictive, but I just think if they don’t want me as an affiliate, they don’t want me as a customer either.

So, I stop buying from them. I stop referring people to them. And, then I find a competitor and promote the heck out of them. Or buy lots of stuff.

Either way, vengeance is mine.

Those affiliates can be a bit elusive some times. What I hate is they pull bait and I have them on posts from months gone by and I have to go back and find their ad and pull it from an archived post, such a hassle.

Affiliates are persnickety but they make me a lot of money :)

You have pretty much hit the nail on the head why I haven’t updated any of my affiliate links in some time. I will probably do some updating month… but sometimes it seems like such a hassle.

I’m trying affiliate stuff, but haven’t had much success yet. Of course, that’s because I haven’t really pushed it too hard. I’m still looking at how I can do it without looking too sales-like.
