Weird Things About Me #3

As you may recall, Nina, a.k.a. SF Girl, tagged me with the “Seven Weird Things About Me” meme, which she caught from Mel. Here’s #1 and #2.

Weird Thing About Me #3

I can sew. I don’t think too many men sew these days, and it seems a dwindling number of women do as well. My maternal grandmother has two daughters, two granddaughters and one grandson, which would be me for those of you who are really bad at math. Guess which one knows how to sew?

Well, there you go. Stay tuned for Weird Thing About Me #4 who knows when?

Yay for men sewing! Nothing to be ashamed of there. Everyone should have some knowledge in those areas to make them self-sufficient. Fishermen used to all know how to sew and to crochet to keep their nets in good working order. I can sew, but not well enough to be proud of so don’t tell anyone. :)

The sad thing is that I never did finish my seventh grade Home Economics sewing project. I still have it; I’ll finish it one day.

Ahh- so basically this post is so you can get my Pinky and the Brain fabric that I posted about. And since you know I can’t sew- you thought you would try to obtain them in a round about fashion. You just couldn’t ask straight out for the cloth? Send your address in an email and I’ll pop it in the mail- then you can blog about your new character drawers you have sewn up or maybe a fancy hat…

I would have no idea what to do with Pinky and the Brain fabric, except maybe make a pillow. But that wouldn’t match anything and it’s too eclectic even for me, so you might as well keep it. Do you have a sewing machine? You could turn it into a pillow in short order. Even if you don’t have a sewing machine, it wouldn’t be too hard, just take a little more time. Threaten to beat your kids with the soft, fluffy Pinky and the Brain pillow if they don’t behave. Nobody expects the Gartner Inquisition! And nobody wants to be beaten by the soft, fluffy pillow! They won’t trouble you again until they start turning into teenagers. And then you get more Pinky and the Brain fabric and make them clothes to wear to school if they misbehave.

Two of my five kids are teenagers and they are no trouble, the oldest one- the wrestler is exactly like me!

I’m confused. You said your oldest was no trouble. Then you said he is exactly like you. So, which is it? Is he trouble or not?

That’s not too weird. But I guess after reading about sissy panties, nothing is too weird. Kinda set the bar pretty high with that.

oh I sew, I have been working on the same sundress all summer, I’ll probably get to wear it for Christmas by the time I get it finished
