Do Your Business Cards Right!
With so many people looking these days for side businesses or new businesses to earn extra money or replace lost income or a job, business cards are going to be an important asset for many, especially those that will be doing business in the “real world.”
So, I’ve put together a website which will provide advice to people trying to sort out different business card options and determining what information they should include on a business card.
Can you believe that some people forget to include basic information, such as a phone number, on their business cards? It’s true! I’ve seen it happen. They’ll give you a nice looking card which has their name on it and tells you everything they do, but when you go to call them later, you discover there’s no phone number! That’s definitely something you don’t want to leave out!
And, before you say, well, they included their eMail, right, think again! I’ve seen this happen in the days before eMail was commonplace, when a phone number was really the only way you could contact someone, short of driving to their location.
You’re not going to get a lot of business if you make mistakes like that and leave important information off your business cards!
At any rate, this is the type of mistake I hope I can help people avoid. That and there will be other information added as time goes on. Right now, I have four articles on the site but plan to add more in the future. If you have any business card questions, please feel free to ask and maybe I’ll do an article answering your question!
To visit the site, please pop on over to Business Card Advice dot Com.

Or you can do like we did with our first newspaper ad, and get the phone number wrong.
In fairness to us, it was the newspaper that got it wrong. We didn’t notice it on the galley and frankly didn’t think such idiocy was possible. WE got it right on our ad request, and the paper had always gotten it right in the past.
After a while, numbers all look alike! I’ve caught other’s mistakes before, but I’ve also made a few of my own. Once we had notepads printed with our fax number as the phone number. Well, at least it was a right number, just not the right number! That just goes to show the value of having a second set of eyes do the proofreading!
cool. I want to make business cards for my blog(s). I think? I want my main/daily Momma Mia on one side of the card an my TV blog (Melevision.net) on the other side. Can you get double sided business cards?
Yes, you can get double-sided business cards. I’ve done a number of them for clients. Usually, they’re not double sided as you’ve described, but what you want could certainly be done.
My business cards are 5 feet by 8 feet. Thet really stand out, never get misplaced, and senoirs can read them without glasses.
(they are THREE sided to) OHHH YEAH!!!!!!!
How many do you carry with you?
Were you in printing or copying? Three-sided copies is an old printing/copying joke that you used to play on newbies.
Anymore croakey videos? I could use the laugh?
Can I hire you?
Yes, as long as you’re talking about business cards.
Great concept! Just yesterday a friend of mine published an ad neglecting to include her phone number…unbelievable but it’s happening.
