Thank you for writing about us! We have relaunched the basic service of UseQwitter in March of this year. It is operating very will know with very few issues. Even better, we have now launched our premium service for our members and they love it! Premium Qwitter gives the member more control of how and when they receive their notices. You can follow multiple handles with one account. Premium Qwitter shows you more information about each unfollower AND now we show information about your most recent 50 followers. It is only $4.99 per year (what a steal!). Check us out http://www.useqwitter.com/premium. For the press release with more details go to http://www.prweb.com/releases/2010/07/prweb4289884.htm

When someone adds me, I add them--until of course I get bombarded with endless sales pitches or other mindless diatribe I could live without--then I unfollow them. I see myself destroying the popularity of my own blog by not writing anything except fiction or similar articles from now on. In the past, I purposefully wrote filler posts about social networking, wordpress, blogging tips and so forth--and I thought of them as drivel, but they are my most popular articles . . . LOL! I wrote them for traffic I would otherwise not have gotten. But now, I am so sick of writing stuff I don't actually enjoy writing--other than my fiction and articles about Zen. There is an audience out there for my fiction, but I've yet to truly find it. That's my new goal.

Didn't even know this was out there. I definitely see its uses. Also didn't know about the Twitter maximums. Good post, though a bit wordy to get the the crux of the issue.

I'm so new to Twitter that I have no idea what the proper etiquette is but after dealing with some people who were not really what they pretended to be on the blogosphere, I decided I really didn't want to be open to all kinds of unknown tweeps. Also, it was kind of annoying to try reading through all their tweets to find the ones I really was interested in. Since I'm a social and not a business blogger/tweeter, I didn't need all those tweeps tweeting away at me. But I didn't want to make anyone feel slighted so that is why I did my last tweet before unfollowing people to let them know that it was nothing personal. Before this, I did like knowing when someone unfollowed me using Qwitter because it showed me that some people were just trying to get me to follow them back and some were just trying to sell me stuff. So it was handy and I think one improvement would be to include a message to the person as to why they were being unfollowed. Feedback is usually helpful.

I know. I don't know what's going on with Qwitter. I even re-signed up to see if that would make a difference. Nope.

I sometimes unfollow just because at the moment I cannot keep current with tweets I want to see on my phone ... simple as that. I would not care if everyone unfollowed me, really.
All it is for my use - is gabbing with those I know. I unfollowed 2 people today because they NEVER gab with me, so what is the point of having them fill my screen.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea why or how or that it was important if people unfollow you on twitter. I think I just use it like a giant instant messaging service with all my blog pals. But if I ever needed to use it in a professional capacity I know to come to YOU with any questions or tips. You rock.
