Don’t Expect to Hear from Me by eMail for a While…
Since I’ve not been able to find an acceptable alternative, I’ve been stuck using Thunderbird for eMail. Now, it’s mostly fine. There’s a few things I’d like to see in it, but, for the most part, it’s okay.
When it’s working, of course.
Once again, Thunderfail is unable to send out eMail.
No point even posting to their support forums, as all they’ll suggest is that I delete and re-install the blasted thing. Went through hoops last time trying to get the thing to send mail again, all to no avail.
No doubt, it’ll probably mysteriously return to being able to send out mail in a few days. Like it did last time.
Until then, don’t expect to hear from me by eMail!
I can receive mail, but I can’t send it. Argh!

Oh that must be so frustrating. I cant live without email. That’s why I have like 14 email accounts! This way I can ALWAYS communicate with the outside world!
Fortunately, I can still send (thru Thunderbird) from my business eMail accounts.
I hate when those things we really start to rely on, stop working for whatever reason. I hope they get the problem under control soon. But we won’t desert you. Even though you never email anymore. **sniff** LOL. Hang in there!
Actually, I don’t us eMail too often anymore. But, you definitely notice it when you can’t send anything! And usually it happens when you do need to send stuff.
Who is this Thunderbird? Let me at-em…..
Does your hosting service provide you with email? Or is that your hosting service?
Thunderbird is an eMail application. Made by Mozilla, the same group that makes Firefox.
I have my own mail server. It’s running. It’s working. I can send mail from Mail (Apple’s eMail application), but not from Thunderbird. As I said, it’s very strange. And, if the pattern holds, it will start working again in a day or two, just like it did the past two times this happened.
Day 5 and Thunderfail still cannot send mail.
