On Twitter, as well as other sites, you can use not only regular letters, but special characters as well. Sites, such as Twitter, that support Unicode characters, are capable of displaying a wide range of characters beyond the standard characters you see on your keyboard.

Some of these just look like funky codes to me. So maybe there is something else I need to change on my computer settings?
It looks like some versions of Windows can’t display all the characters. Bummer. I’m trying to figure out which ones work across all browsers and systems.
Most of them are just small blocks or squares. Mustn’t be True Type
I think it may depend on your browser’s default font or something.
I see all of them, however, some are so tiny, you can’t really make out what they are.
Does your browser have a “Make Text Bigger” option?
Using IE this morning and many of the symbols are just boxes. Don’t give up!

I use windows XP and I looked wit three diferent browsers Fire fox,Goggle Chrome, and Enternet Explorer ver 7
All three had some something different in the pages
So It might be browser dependent as well as windows.
Plastic symbol is the odd one.

I Have IE on my Dell. Few show up, the sun and M & F symbols, the bullseye, numbers sign, telephone, and temperatures. On the Mac using Safari, everything is perfect.

I never knew there were that many Recycling ones or really such a wide array of Unicode characters in general. They all look fine to me BTW, running Linux and Firefox…
I think Unicode covers over 16,000 characters, including the alphabet, non-English alphabets, symbols, and a whole bunch more.

I am far to un-twitteresque to use these, but they are cool. MyBlogLog still delivers 900% more traffic than Twitter, and I barely use either
If it wasn’t for some peculiar image searches in Google, Twitter might have been my largest source of traffic in January. I don’t get much traffic from MyBlogLog at all.
So that’s why people twitter? It drives traffic back to their blogs?
I’m so futureshocked.
