Free Backgrounds: Don’t Say I Never Gave You Anything!

Here are some free diamond pattern backgrounds I created that you can use on your websites or blogs. They are sort of a futuristic argyle pattern too.

Just right-click them and save them to your computer, and then upload to your site!

No hot-linking! Hot-linking is bandwidth theft, and you may not like what happens to bandwidth thieves.

Don’t like the blue? Here are a few more choices for you:

Free to use, but acknowledgment and a link back would be appreciated!

Note: These are free for your own personal use only. You can use them on your personal or commercial sites. You cannot sell or give them away though.

“No hot-linking!”

I hate hot linkers, but now typically turn it into free advertising, by creating an image that has my URL and a brief message. However, I have some pretty funny screencaps of when I was not feeling quite as hospitable.

I know one guy that still has my advertisement up and hotlinks pretty much all of his images. I think it might be out of ignorance more than malice, but it doesn’t matter, because ignorance is no excuses. I contemplated notifying the sites he hotlinks or the siteowner himself, but never did it.

Neat Backgrounds BTW…

Thanks!

I have one image on another website that gets around 100,000 views a month, mostly due to hotlinkers.

I swapped it out for an ad earlier this month, so it will be interesting to see how many views I end up with at the end of this month. I know some haven’t caught on yet.

Once I caught a blogger hotlinking one of my images. He neglected to include height and width tags. So, I swapped the image out with a huge ad that pretty much dominated his blog. He stopped hotlinking later that day…
