		<description>Everything that is "free" is subsidized somehow. So, if you are providing content to users, you have to be able to underwrite the costs associated with doing that. Charging a subscription fee is the most obvious option, of course. As an alternative, you could have ads that run in the subscriber area that could underwrite your costs (either space that is sold to third parties, affiliate ads, one time offers, etc.).

If you have content that users want, they'll pay for it. But, in order to demonstrate that you can deliver the goods, you'll either need some sort of "teaser" option that provides a sample of what they can expect, or offer some basic (but valuable) content for free that is outside the members' area.
