We had it worse when we lived in Michigan. Down here, it’s still largely nothing. What makes it worse, though, is that we don’t have a decent snowblower. Back in Michigan, we were better prepared for this stuff. ;)

My sister-in-law is a nurse at a nursing home in northern Maryland. Her husband was driving her to work, but had to turn back because of a five foot snow drift over the road. Of course, they got stuck.

We’ve had at least a little bit of snow in our yard for over two weeks now. Right now, in west central Arkansas, our yard and roof are both covered with several inches of snow.

In my view, Global Warming is taking a break and we are 1/3 of the way through a 30 year period of global cooling. It cooled from 1940 to 1970, warmed from 1970 to 2000, now the cycle has shifted to cooling, though that news seems to have gotten lost somewhere.

I’d plan on more years like this one — or worse.

From what I recall, I think that’s in tune with the sunspot cycle. It’s warmer when sunspot activity is greater and cooler when there are fewer sunspots. Right now, we’re in a period with very little sunspot activity.

But, yeah, it’s not in the news because there’s no political advantage to blaming the sun.

You cannot tax the sun, but if it HAD a Visa account, then maybe. I would sell the sun some sun glasses, so it could look like it’s emoticon !! That would be cool, err - HOT …. coooolingish ?
