What Should I Call my New Blog?

Remember a couple days ago when I said I might start a new blog?

Well, what should I call it?

Should I stick with DCR? Or should I call it Dan’s Blog?

DCR’s Blog?

As you may recall, many moons ago, this blog was called Dan Blogs. Less than two weeks into blogging here, and I changed it to dcrBlogs.com.

Anyway, so what should the new one be? I’m kind of leaning toward Dan’s Blog. I’ve noticed that only a few people call me “Dan” and most refer to me as “dcr”. I don’t really care too much, as it differentiates me from other Dans. But, you know, when I’m the only Dan around, it’s superfluous. Or something. I just wanted to write “superfluous.”

So, thoughts?

I like it, but wouldn’t work on the site. Oh, maybe I could change the name of this blog…

I guess it depends on how original you want it to be and what you want to do with it.

I’m going to follow the KISS philosophy. ;)

I call you dcr in comments you make at my site because that is how you show up in the comment box so I figured that is what you want to be called. But then, I noticed you use your real name over here so I realized I don’t have to worry too much about preserving your anonymity and can call you Dan. So yeah, you confuse me. :) I like “Dan’s blog” because it sounds a bit more personal and human but I suppose it depends on what you’ll be blogging about.

I think my very first “vanity” eMail (that is, one where you weren’t assigned a random combination of letters and numbers) was “dcr”. If I recall, I think “dan” might have been taken. Quite frequently, “dan” is taken. So, I’ve just tended to use DCR most places, or sometimes variations on DCR.

If I’m anonymous, I use something completely different. ;)
