Browser Feature Request

To the companies that make web browsers (Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla), it would be nice to have a preference whereby you could choose not to allow websites to automatically resize your browser window.

I really, really hate that.

There’s really no reason for it. I can resize my window if I want to. Usually, I don’t.

And, when I come across a website that does that, odds are it will not happen a second time because I won’t visit that site again.

There’s no reason for a forced resize. Just don’t do it.

But, alas, since the webmasters aren’t likely to give up on their little power trips, it falls upon the browser manufacturers to give us the option to put a stop to it. All we need is a little preference that we can check on or off for “Allow automatic browser window sizing?”

I’d keep mine set as “No.”
