This Post Has No Title

Monday, October 11th, 2010

But, alas, by entering “This Post Has No Title” as the title does, in fact, give it a title.

This post has no content, yet, by saying as much, the post does, indeed, have content.

So, here we are and where that is is nowhere, really.

Such a sad state of affairs. Here we have a post with no title but with a title and a post with no content yet with content, all heading nowhere which is, in fact, somewhere since this post continues to carry on, despite having no relevance or meaningful content in any way.

Oh, alas, for the days when I would write something meaningful and gather a half dozen comments. Yet, traffic is up slightly in spite of the gibberish I post.

It’s a conundrum.

Indeed.

10-10-10 at 10

Sunday, October 10th, 2010

So, today was the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year and here it is round about the (second) tenth hour of the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year.

Oh, how cool would it have been had I managed to post this on the tenth second of the tenth minute of the (second) tenth hour of the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year?

What the heck? I’m only 11 minutes late which is cool because that makes it 22:21 on a 24-hour clock. I’ll just date the post at the aforementioned time. It’s not like there’s anyone reading this post who would notice and the only way you’d know is because I just told you, but you can believe a word I say, no? So, which is right? Me? Or the date of the post?

You probably trust WordPress more than me, right? WordPress wouldn’t lie to you, right? So, it must be me who is wrong.

Saturday Lameness

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

Just another lame Saturday post.

Yes, I am your Saturday host.

Go fix yourself some toast.

I’ll be here while the bread you roast.

Just another lame Saturday post.

It’s nothing about which to boast.

Oh, how I’ve let it all coast,

Of the blog’s former self it’s a ghost.

Just another lame Saturday post.

This will be one that’s not the most.

This is the end of this lame post,

And, as of now, you can eat your toast.

Friday Fright

Friday, October 8th, 2010

It’s way too early in the month for a Friday fright.

The frights, in fact, will come on a Sunday night.

Oh, that I am sure will be quite a sight.

To see the little ones shivering from their fright.

Oh, but it’s okay, it will all be over come morning bright.

Until then, mu ha ha ha ha ha with all your might!

Ghouls and ghosts and goblins shall not fight.

Instead they’ll gather and scare everyone all night.

And now to an end this must come, such is your plight.

To stop reading this and be scary in your own right.

But wait a few more weeks till that fateful night.

When you can scare everyone all until first light.

Blogging Medley

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Here’s a little blog post I wrote.

You might want to read it word by word.

You may wish to read it in a boat.

You might want to read it to a bird.

You may want to sing it to a goat.

You might want to say what you’ve heard.

In any case, you still have your face.

You might want to close that case.

For if they have come for all your base,

You may need to play some bass.

Just you read what I wrote.

You may not believe what you learn.

Before you head off to vote,

You better be sure to discern,

What I am about to note,

It may put a lump in your throat.

In any case, you still have your face.

You might want to close that case.

For if they have come for all your base,

You may need to play some bass.

And that’s the end of this silly post.

Now you can head for the coast.

About that all you can boast.

Just be careful not to burn your toast.

Luna Moth Visitor

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

I’ve posted pictures of a Luna moth before here and here.

Tonight, upon getting home from work and walking down the sidewalk, what should there appear?

Why a rather large reddish caterpillar.

Turns out, he (or she) is a Luna moth caterpillar. Normally green in color, they turn brownish/reddish when ready to pupate.

Apparently, one of the types of leaves they eat are walnut leaves, which explains why all my most recent Luna Moth sightings of the past 8 years or so have been near a black walnut tree.

This is, I believe, the first time I’ve seen a Luna moth caterpillar. As a kid, I had Cecropia and Polyphemus moth caterpillars, but I don’t recall having a Luna moth caterpillar.

At any rate, I took some photos. Bummer that I can’t post them here.

Tuesday Trampoline

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

What does that even mean?

Tuesday Trampoline?

It’s catchy but will it be seen?

On that note, I’m not too keen.

Would you please ask the dean?

If we may plant a kidney bean?

It will grow to be big and green.

If we eat beans, we will all be lean.

But don’t be so mean.

Even when it you must preen.

Post a picture in the school eZine.

It will make quite a scene.

Oh, now we must all go and clean.

Monday Moonday Redux

Monday, October 4th, 2010

Apparently, I’ve already done a Monday Moonday, except that it was “Monday Moonday Maybe.”

But it didn’t have a picture of a moon.

Which is odd because I have a few moon picts.

But, I did do a “Blue Moonday.”

Apples and Asteroids” didn’t have moon in the title, but it did have a moon picture.

And then there was the triple 9 moon.

Then “Icicles by Moonlight.”

Then a not-so-good shot of the moon.

The Grass and the Moon.”

There was the “Moon of Disillusionment” and “Moon Rise.”

And that seems to be it!

Sunday Funday

Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

Sunday Funday.

What is that day?

Is it when you sit by the bay?

Watching a shark swim past a ray?

Is that today?

Would it be okay?

If we were all to say,

“Tomorrow will be a new day.”

Anyway.

Pick up your lunch tray.

Fill it with food without delay.

Avoid the stuff made of clay.

Or meats that have turned gray.

Because I bet they’re not okay.

For them you should not have to pay.

I pray.

Don’t go astray.

You might trip over an ashtray,

And fall into Hudson Bay.

Anyway.

Make it a fun day.

No Success Saturday Today; Instead, Much Ado About Nothing

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

After the month-long lame-fest that was Success September, did you really think I would do a Success Saturday so soon?

If you did, think again.

If you didn’t, good for you.

At any rate, this post is much ado about nothing.
