Saw another baby bird while trimming the bushes on Saturday. This one, I believe, is some type of small sparrow. I didn’t get a good look at the parent. The first time I saw the nest, the baby bird was alone. The second time, after accidentally hitting the branch the nest was on and checking to see if the baby was okay, the parent was there but quickly jumped out of the nest.

The third time was when I got the camera, and the parent was on a fence several feet away. I couldn’t get a good look or shot of it. When I took the picture, the slightest noise made the hungry baby bird open its mouth in the hopes of a meal.

The other nest with baby birds that I photographed last weekend is already empty. There was no mess of feathers on the ground, so I’m pretty sure they’re off on their own now, rather than having been some critter’s meal.
