Lazy Phishermen
The phishers are trying real hard now.
Apparently, the FBI had a series of meeting over three days with the United Nations regarding the money that is owed me from the Crown Prince of Nigeria.
They can now release the money to me, but I have to act within the next couple weeks before the FBI’s contract with UPS expires.
Already, UPS has discontinued their COD services, so I need to pay for the shipping of my check or ATM card in advance.
It will only cost me $135 to have my check sent to me, which is a savings they negotiated over the original cost of $420 shipping.
I should disregard any other eMails from “imposters” claiming to have my check or ATM card. The only person I should deal with is “of the ATM CARD CENTRE” and any other messages I receive from imposters should be sent to him for investigation. The funny thing is that it literally says “of the ATM CARD CENTRE” with no name in front of it. It’s just blank. Lazy spammers couldn’t even bother to make up a name and put it there.
At any rate, $135 to mail a check or ATM card? UPS isn’t THAT expensive, even for an overnight envelope. Besides, this is the FBI, why aren’t they using USPS? Stick it in a Priority Mail envelope. That’s only $4.95. I don’t mind waiting 2-3 days for my $850,000 check. Heck, my bank will probably hold it for 2 weeks anyway, so what’s another 2-3 days?
Silly phishers. Tricks are for kids.
