It’s the End of the Year as We Know It

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

This is my 1369th day of consecutive daily blogging.

More or less.

That’s nearly four years.

So, do I try for 1500? 2500? 5000? 10,000?

I think not, as I said in post #1225.

This past year, we celebrated my blog’s 4th birthday.

I marked the 1,000th day just over a year ago.

Throughout this year, there have been several days where I almost forgot to blog.

In 2009, I had my 500th consecutive daily post, which I completely overlooked at the time.

But, all good things must come to an end, and, thus, the daily consecutive blogging probably will too.

I don’t know what kind of posting schedule I may keep in the new year. Maybe I’ll continue to blog daily for a while, or maybe I’ll post once or week or whenever the mood strikes.

Many of the people who started blogging around the same time I did no longer do so. Maybe half of them are gone, were I to take a guess.

And, soon, I’ll (hopefully) have my novel to promote, so I’ll need to set up a website for that.

At any rate, I hope everyone has a great New Year!

This is the Point of Silliness

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

This is the point at which silliness occurred.

Silly.

Silly.

Silliness.

This is that point at which silliness occurred.

Silly.

Silly.

Silliness.

This is this point at which silliness occurred.

Silly.

Silly.

Silly Sally still lied about sassy Sally’s sullied sullen soiled sillies.

Ain’t that just the silliest thing?

Might It Be Legendary?

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

Don’t know yet if it might be legendary.

My beta reader has only made it to chapter six so far.

Has liked it so far, it appears.

So, that’s good.

Hopefully there will be more good news tomorrow.

For the past month or so, I’ve written every night. Or, on a couple occasions, I’ve merely edited. But, either way, every night, I did something with the novel.

Now that it’s done, and I’m waiting to hear from other people, I don’t quite know what to do. Don’t want to jump over to one of my other novels-in-progress just yet, because they are different in tone and, if I need to do any more work on the current novel, I don’t want to have to shift back.

Weird? Maybe. But I don’t want to get out of this zone and move into another if I then have to move back.

It Might Be Legendary

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

You may remember when I wrote this: “But Will It Be Legendary?

You can see a snippet of Chapter One by clicking on the link there you just passed by.

And, you can read a snippet of Chapter Seven by clicking on the link there you just passed by again.

Well, in the wee hours of this morning, I finished it.

It is done.

Written and edited.

Done.

Probably.

Have a beta reader reading it now. She’ll tell me how badly it sucks. After that, I’ll decide whether I need to do some more tweaking or if I can send it off to my editor.

Fading Snowflake

It’s a fading snowflake. Lame, yes, I know. But, it’s the day after Christmas, and it’s the most I feel like doing right now.
