Frozen Prehistoric Purple Dancing Monkeys Wearing Skins that are Orange
Sunday, February 28th, 2010It’s come to my attention that, while you’ve been enjoying seeing dancing monkeys wearing shirts that are orange, you’ve been scratching your heads over last Wednesday’s appearance of prehistoric purple monkeys wearing skins that are orange.
You’ve wondered, How can that be? Did we send a camera into the past to take video of these prehistoric purple dancing monkeys? And, many of you have wondered, Can I borrow that time machine?
Well, sorry to say, but the time machine is not available for rent. Sorry. But, at any rate, to answer your question, no, we did not send a camera into the past to capture these prehistoric dancing monkeys on film.
What happened was that they were found in some of the polar regions where the ice wasn’t melting. Some intrepid explorers were studying the ice, when they came upon this pair of perfectly preserved prehistoric purple dancing monkeys, still wearing their skins that are orange.
Carefully, this pair was thawed out. Scientists wanted to study these early dancing monkeys, but were surprised when they became reanimated when they thawed out!
This was a chance for everyone to see the natural behavior of these prehistoric purple monkeys. And, the first chance they got, the very moment their little fingers and toes completely thawed out, they began to do what dancing monkeys do: dance!
They danced well into the night!
At any rate, it appeared all these monkeys wanted to do was dance, so the scientists grew frustrated as they expected these prehistoric monkeys to exhibit other behaviors, but all these monkeys wanted to do was perform.
So, they were shipped out to us, where we keep them with all the other dancing monkeys. We offered them a change of clothes, but they don’t seem interested and never stop dancing long enough to even change into something else.
Below is an image of the prehistoric purple dancing monkeys while they were still frozen in the ice.

You can see that they must have been frozen in the midst of their dance routine—a routine they immediately resumed upon thawing out.
Keep on dancing, unfrozen prehistoric purple dancing monkeys wearing skins that are orange. The dance never stops. Pauses, maybe, but never stops. Dance on!
