Dancing Monkeys Wearing Shirts that are Orange

First, I presented you with plenty of pictures of bananas.

At which point you likely thought I was bananas.

Then, I presented a photo of an orange that looked like a football. Sort of.

Now, I will combine those themes…

What likes bananas?

Monkeys!

What wears orange t-shirts?

Why monkeys, of course! Or, maybe it was the Monkees that wore orange t-shirts. Or maybe not. Anyway, think of monkeys in orange shirts. Cool, eh?

What could make that image even better?

Imagine them dancing!

Yeah, I know. It’s legen–

Wait for it…

–dary!

Okay, so here you go. Here are some dancing monkeys wearing shirts that are orange!

Don’t Worry, Be Chalky

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

This is just a chalk drawing that I did on the side of a cabinet. I did this around 1990.

This is a small wooden cabinet that I’m pretty sure my grandfather built. It was all painted in a pale green color. Lots of stuff my grandparents had were painted this color. I’m not sure where the paint came from, but they evidently had a lot of it. The basement was painted in this color. My grandfather’s toolroom had cabinets (which he built) and walls all painted in this pale green.

Anyway, many moons ago (circa 1990), I think I moved the cabinet from the basement (or was it the shed?) into my bedroom. After cleaning it up, I put contact paper on it. The interior, the shelves and the top were done in a grey/black woodgrain pattern. I did the front and sides with a chalkboard contact paper, so you could write on it with chalk, as I did in this photo.

It’s been there ever since. It’s gotten a bit blurred over the years, but is mostly intact.

Two Dots 110024

Normally, when I take a bad photo with my camera, I delete it right away and it never gets downloaded to the computer. Sometimes, though, I am not sure if it was good or not, especially the night shots which can sometimes be saved in Photoshop, though not as often as I like to delude myself into believing.

And, sometimes, by the time I download the photos to the computer, I’ve forgotten what I was trying to take a picture of. Like today’s photo. Sometimes, I can get a pretty good idea based on the photos before and after it. Not this one. No, there was a span of several days between the preceding and subsequent images. All I know is that I took this photo on December 11, 2007 at 6:14 p.m. That was a Tuesday. I was probably leaving work. What was I taking a photograph of? We may never know.

Who knows. Maybe it was a great shot of a UFO. Then the aliens came and erased my memory, and messed up the picture. But, why didn’t they just delete the image? I would have never known it was gone, having had my memory erased and all. They screwed up, and now I’m on to them.

Naked Woman! (NSFW)

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Well, since my readers appear to want to see pictures of naked women, I guess I’ll have to give them what they want, no?

I hate to resort to these methods, but my traffic has taken a nose-dive along with the economy these past few days. I mean, it’s really gotten b-a-d.

So, it looks like I’ll have to try to cater to the lowest common denominator. My apologies to my female readers. You’ll just have to overlook these posts while I appeal to the male demographic. Then again, perhaps that is a bad assumption to make. Maybe my female readers are looking for these types of images too. Oh dear…

Anyway, I guess if I want to increase traffic, I have to provide the type of content my audience is seeking, even if it goes against my better judgment.

It is a sad, sad day.

Okay, here goes…

Woman II

Hmmm. Something seems to have gone wrong with the upload. Bummer. But, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Saturn Color Illustration

Here is a simple illustration I did Monday evening of Saturn and two of its moons. The original was a black and white illustration I did for my eCommerce site. I did the color version just for fun.

My favorite part is the starburst effect on the two moons. Mind you, it’s not supposed to be a “burst”; just the reflection of light off the moon’s surface giving it a star-glow effect. Yes, I’ve referred to it now as both a starburst and a star-glow effect.

It’s based on a NASA photo which you can find here.
